Ile-aux-Coudres FS2002/2004 CTA3Update 1 by: Léon Louis

I made this update as I am now installing lighthouses here and there along the St.Lawrence river. I think it will make VFR flying great along the river, specially at dusk or damn, hoping from one lighthouse to the other...

I already have this scenery released and am preparing Ile-aux-grues, Montmagny, Rivière Ouelle to be released in a day or so. I am also working on Charlevoix.

Hope you enjoy these.

I wish to thank Jerry Kemp, Tom Constantine and Adrian Shortall for their help.

To use these files, you must have installed my scenery `Qbc_3L6.zip` available where you downloaded this file.

IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT THE MESH. I tried this scenery with the default mesh in FS2002 and it is very nice as it is. You do not need the mesh in this area if you do not wish to have it.

This update adds the following:

- the ferry boat linking the island to St.Joseph-de-la-Rive,

- rotating light beams for the lighthouses (invisible during the day,

- kerosene lamp torches to light up the runway. These were used
some years ago. They are not well lined up and there is two
reasons for this. The first, I am a tad lazy and do not enjoy
repetitive actions and the second, these were installed by hand alongside the runway. They were never aligned. So, there, it is a good thing to be lazy at times.

Also, since I have no idea how to make real flames, I cheated
using three amber lights. One fixed, one faster blink the other
slower blink. I think it came out pretty good just the same. I
know someone would have noticed this so I plead guilty before.

I have not such kerosene pots in FS yet.

If you find them not strong enough, think of the poor guy
flying with these in real life.

In French we used to call those `pigs` Some time bad guys would give them a kick and watch them roll away. There use was to
indicate road construction sites.

KNOWN ISUUE FS2004 only. I made this scenery in FS2002. Users in FS2004 will notice the kerosene pots to be off the runway slightly. It is not that bad considering the benefits. I will correct this when I get FS2004 installed soon I hope. In the mean time if someone would like to do it, please contact me.

To install, simply put the CONTENTS of the scenery folder in the scenery folder of the main scenery (overwrite when prompted) and do the same for the textures.

Enjoy your visit in `La Belle Province`

Thank you for using my stuff
